What is OPH Club?

We are a compassionate community of individuals who come together to grow ourselves, hold one another accountable, and positively impact the community around us. In our meetings, we discuss a variety of personal growth and life skill topics as well as goals and struggles we have as high schoolers. We want more people to embrace the OPH lifestyle so we can all improve by working one percent harder every day and strengthening our community and the world one step at a time!

At OPH meetings, people share their goals and the group brainstorms solutions that might be a good fit. The club members follow up throughout the week to check on their progress. They each provide an update at the Wednesday afternoon meetings.

Mental health is an issue for all students from high achievers and socially challenged to athletes and those with family concerns. With the support of Wheeler’s administration, the OPH club is the leading advocate in helping raise funds to start a mental health counseling initiative at school. Wheeler's student body of 2300 does not have any dedicated mental health counselors, so One Percent Harder—the business and the organization have raised funds to provide 4 free sessions for students in need.
